Something About Company
As we enter a third school year impacted by the worldwide pandemic, we are pleased to share the positives we have learned along the way. First, quality education can and does happen online, and second, our teachers are skilled and experienced to continue to provide the same quality of education you have come to expect from the Canadian International School System, Vietnam.
Even now as the start of the school year 2021-22 brings questions about life with and after COVID-19, the majority of teachers are vaccinated, most of our new teachers have arrived and are ready to begin the year, and our school is more prepared than ever to handle campus safety and sanitation.
One thing that will certainly not change this year is that we will need to continue to work with students to create those character education opportunities, necessary learning skills, and learning dispositions in a world full of big challenges. We will continue to do this effectively online, for as long as this challenge continues.
We are excited about new initiatives, including the expansion of the BCIS campus, the addition of UK curriculum as part of the BCIS reforms to the English language curriculum, and the addition of several new CIS high school courses in technology and Korean language. This year we are also pursuing the next level of our relationship with the Council of International Schools. As members of the Council of International Schools, we continue to uphold ethical and curriculum standards that ensure our students are prepared for the world. This year however, we will engage in deeper self-study to further pursue accreditation with the Council. This process ensures our community that our school’s standards are excellent.
Finding a school that understands your desire to give your child wings, while simultaneously keeping them grounded in good character and culture is no small thing. We will carry-on our goal of giving students ‘roots and wings’ while continuing to move forward into the next iteration of CISS.
We hope to welcome students to campus soon and wish all CISS families health and happiness this school year.
