As a key member of the project team in Asia AT Construction, this Senior role will be accountable for the integrity and management of the project schedules at each of our sites. This role is for a Construction Planner Scheduler with experience in the construction and ideally semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

  • Partner successfully with key stakeholders including factory facility owners and global supply management and site construction contractors, etc.
  • Work directly with the schedulers from the various general contractors and design build teams to monitor schedule risks.
  • Define and analyze Project critical paths across all schedules and project stages.
  • Organize and prepare and facilitate interactive planning and schedule review sessions with the project team and key stakeholders.
  • Support the sites Tool Install Projects ensuring requirements per schedule on key data and formats are clearly defined and aligned to such that multiple schedules and their delivery drivers can be systematically and seamlessly linked.
  • Maintain overall milestone program and project schedule.
  • Integrate schedules among different projects/scopes like Basebuild, Progressive Build, Tool Install, etc. to ensure the program level goals are achievable.
  • Provides analysis on schedule information for example PAS Indicators, float trends and lookahead reports, etc.
  • Validate Contractor approaches/schedule’s soundness and reasonableness while measurement and reporting of progress against schedule.
  • Consolidate progress reports for Intel senior management review including preparation of appropriate project schedule indicators.
  • Provide what-if support to Projects as needed.
  • Proactively troubleshoot schedule issues and gaps and work on issues with stakeholders.
    Support negative float resolution.
  • Develop reports to show changes and impacts from week to week at Program level Support weekly meetings with stakeholders to review and disposition discrepancies gaps.
  • Establish, implement, and adhere to Schedule Change Control process including review and agreement of impact of project and scope changes to ensure control is incorporated in the overall project schedule and progress measurement system.
  • Able to evaluate schedule risks using Earned Value Method (S curve).
  • Able to check and validate actual progress at construction site compared to contractor planned schedule and inform PM on any gaps detected.
  • Build and drive safety Culture of Caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.

Qualifications

  • A BS degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred along with minimum of 2 years’ experience in scheduling in medium to large sized construction environments.
  •  Proven experience in construction project schedule management overseeing the development of project schedules and a proven track record of managing and integrating multiple schedules within complex programs is required.
  • Strong ability to extract information from construction drawings, specification, contracts and proposal documents.
  •  An overall understanding of the design engineering procurement and construction management phases associated with delivering large projects.
  •  This position requires an expert level proficiency on primavera/Microsoft project, in-depth knowledge of data management, data analysis, and an understanding of typical construction sequencing and logics.
  • Excellent communication skills at written and oral English level.
  • Candidate must have proficiency in a window-based environment and software like PowerPoint, advanced excel, power BI, SharePoint, office 365 suites.
  • They will have experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple customers and stakeholders.
  • A team player, Inquisitive, self-starter with a keen eye for details and ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing Semiconductor Base build project schedules.
  • An understanding of both the facilities construction and equipment install process.
  • Familiar with Lean Construction methods such as: Pull Planning, Kanban, eliminate waste.
  • Tertiary knowledge of using cloud platform such as BIM360 to improve work efficiency.
