This role is to act as a proactive business partner to
- Be the champion of Fragrance & Beauty (“FBP”) product registrations, licenses, procurement contracts, and trademark protection in Vietnam
- Locally lead / coordinate legal matters in Vietnam, enable business needs and support business concerns with feasible and compliant solutions
- Manage legal documents and conduct trainings
In the capacity of Regulatory Compliance Manager, he/she will be in charge of:
FBP REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
- In charge of all FBP product registrations and regulatory (“RA”) compliance related to the safety and quality of cosmetic products
- Responsible for managing and optimizing the internal registration teamwork flow
- Closely work with marketing, sales and logistics team for all the RA issues to help the new products launch on time
- Provide technical support to the related function team inquiries regarding product safety and quality, ingredients, packaging, labelling and claims
- Rapid communication of major regulatory developments and trends, and their impact analysis to the Global RA team and relevant stakeholders
- Assist to communicate and coordinate with relevant government registration agency while maintaining a constructive & professional relationship
- Liaise with Eurocham counterparts as needed
LICENSES:
Work with agencies and relevant counterparts (e.g. law firm) to ensure full compliance with local regulations for regular business activities or ah-hoc requests:
- In charge of business licenses for all the stores, including permanent, pop-up, temporary, podium, etc…
- Obtain advertising licenses as required
- Take charge of all required certificates for office and business to operate (i.e. fire-fighting and prevention)
LEGAL COMPLIANCE OF CONTRACTS:
By working together with IP Manager, Division or Corporate functional team members and Regional counterparts if needed to ensure:
- execution and compliance of legal procurement procedures at market level
- legal & compliance contract review & revision
- upon alignments with division: appropriate negotiations, define contracting strategies & wording to support business to ensure legal compliance
LEGAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP:
By working closely with Regional Legal teams & local legal firm:
- Fully support Business Divisions and Corporate functions on all legal related matters
- Give practical advice to business functions that promotes effective and efficient achievement of operational business goals while balancing & minimizing legal risks
- Locally lead brand protection, promote awareness & compliance mindset
- In charge of legal documents & provide related trainings
- Locally lead / coordinate legal projects in Vietnam
- Follow up on & help close legal compliance related matters
- Constantly improve the existing process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
