Job Description
Responsible for providing leadership to ensure the corporation’s compliance with relevant government and industry legislation and regulations.
Conducts periodic and systematic evaluations of internal control systems and audit trails and makes recommendations for continuous improvement in processes and controls.
Implements programs and provides ongoing assessment (when required), identifies risk areas and determines improvement area.
Monitor and reports on status and gaps to management team. Coordinates compliance training and initiates changes in procedures due to new or revised regulations.
Continuously monitors, researches and analyzes existing, proposed improvement and new business process with respect to their present and future impact upon company operations. Provides guidance to other departments on the identification and documentation of required actions/policies, conformance tests and ongoing monitoring issues.
Business Analysts (BAs) perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. Business Analyst must have strong communication and customer engagement skills given their role in explaining and clarifying issues with the customer and translating operations issues into improving system process. In some cases, the BA will own specific data deliverables and have responsibility for the health of the data within their scope of influence.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of related business or engineering Bachelor degree.
- 2+ years of working experience
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable interpreting data and utilizing tools such as MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge on customs policies and regulation, logistics and manufacturing environment
- Knowledge on PowerBI and VB scripting
