Job Description:
- Design and implement data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on AWS cloud using AWS native or custom programming.
- Perform detail assessments of current state data platforms and create an appropriate transition path to AWS cloud.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.
- Design, build and streamline data and applications using one or more of AWS data and analytics services in combination with 3rd parties – Spark, EMR, DynamoDB, RedShift, Kinesis, Lambda.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘big data’ technologies. Analyse, re-architect and re-platform on-premises data warehouses to data platforms on AWS cloud using AWS or 3rd party services.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other relevant fields
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Team worker
- Very comfortable learning new technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Highly motivated.
- Initiative and passionate.
- Has experience in any of the following AWS RDS, EMR, DynamoDB, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda
- Knowledge of SQL Language
- Proficient in Python
This position will start working from 1/10/2021
