JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead and execute product development initiatives, including defining project scope, developing product user stories, and participating in product development processes such as grooming, sprint planning, standups, and retrospective meetings to enhance user experience in a zero-to-one product.
- Potential projects will focus on 2 main areas:
- Enhancing the experience for potential Grab merchant partners: Understand the diverse user segments and their needs, brainstorm ways to streamline the process for prospective merchant partners to establish a presence on Grab with minimal yet effective verification processes.
- Improving new content discovery experience for Grab users: Understand the various use case scenarios and corresponding user needs in discovering and engaging with new content and merchant listings on Grab, identify key pain points along the user journey, and prioritize the top problem to solve.
- For each project, you will gather market and user insights, conduct competitor research, propose solutions, map out the product roadmap, and take it into execution.
REQUIREMENTS
The Must-Haves:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology/Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Business, Finance or related fields, seeking a matriculated internship.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with strong team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a readiness to take on challenges.
The Nice-to-Haves:
- Exceptional critical thinking skills, curiosity to learn, and the courage to challenge existing practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence without formal authority.
- A deep sense of empathy for users, understanding their needs and experiences.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and JIRA is a plus.
- Previous experience in Product, Engineering, Business, or other related fields will be considered favorably.
